This is way more efficient than cooling the whole room (just cools you). Additionally it's not just cooling - it has heating, cooling, and "dry" mode. The dry setting surprised me the most - you can effectively set it around room temp and it works to keep you from sweating without a heating/cooling element. My quality of sleep has skyrocketed from this to the point that when i travel I actually have issues sleeping without it. I actually bought two backups for my wife and I in case ours break and the company goes out of business.
I'm assuming you have the sheets and recommend them as well

I love my Bedjet. My bed is a 68 degrees during the summer nights. I sleep nice and cool.
It's a fan for your bed, not an AC cooler. The only time your bed is 68 degrees is if your AC is also 68 degrees.

Do you need one for each side of the bed or does it blow enough to keep a king size comfortable if both people want the same temp?

You do not want the bedjet air to be 68 degrees.....it will feel too cold.

74 seems to be perfect for me. Seems warm but it provides a surprising amount of cooling.

Lol, I'm currently in bed, scrolling SD, wife working on her laptop, and the BedJet is on. 😂😂
Ours is positioned in the middle of our King Sleep Number bed. Zero issues keeping us both cool.
Oh-and we use regular sheets.

doesn't cool, just blows room air. I tried it. Good thing is they honor free returns

My BR is warmer than rest of the house and was looking for non AC solutions. We're in AZ and room is in low 80's even though we set AC to 78. I even have a nest sensor in there. Paid ~2K for blown in insulation for whole house. Looks like i'll have to spend ~+$700 on a new duct line. Suggestions welcome!

A portable AC that you have to vent out of the room and uses a lot more electricity, or a split unit like you suggest that you have to drill out, mount on the wall, provide some sort of outside pad for...VS this that you just plug in and blows room cool air into your bed...
What I can say is what you paid is what you get. If you don't want to do any handyman job like drilling hole, then you have to bear with this bed fan which cannot help much when room temperature is high.

How about dropping your thermostat?

rest of the house gets cool but the room doesn't. Bedjet should include some form of thermoelectric cooling (just like heat)

BTW Remote and CS is great......

I mean.. "thermoelectric cooling" sounds a lot like a "portable AC unit" to me. And that's a different product with different trade offs than this one. There are a bunch of portable ACs out there if you want that.

Was skeptical at first, but eventually got this last time it went on sale. It won't magically cool below the ambient temperature of the room, but it does work pretty well at keeping me from overheating. I have mine aimed into my sheets so it cools underneath me. Remote and app are both pretty great.

For this price you can get a portable AC, if you can afford additional $100, you can get a split AC, which is quiet and making the whole room cool.
Split AC isn't an option for renters. Portable ACs block a portion of a window.Useful alternatives but they come with different trade offs than this product.
