few years ago I transferred two years from a two pack into another phone
tracfone didn't bother to lock clamshells but who knows what verizon is doing now
even the plans are weird now, clamshells have a different kind of service than android phones despite both being a year, so I am not sure what the transfer will do

To move service back to the original phone (if that's the goal), do exactly the same steps except choose bring your own phone rather than new phone.
I recently merged an account using minutes from an old HSN deal. Simply login and add the activation to your existing number.
A merge is combining 2 already active lines - which they stopped doing a while ago.
It's not always necessary to wait but if there are any problems it's easier for support to fix when transfers are done on different days.

What I have discovered, however, is that since Verizon took the helm, I no longer have Wi-Fi calling after transferring the service/phone number to a different phone. I get the error message "Unable to activate WiFi calling at this time. Please try again later." Never works. This has happened twice: Two different accounts and two different phone (Moto and Samsung) Once I even tried using a new SIM in the original phone before the transfer back. I spoke to a Tracfone rep. Not always but is usually the case, the rep was clueless and tried convincing me my ISP (Specturm) is to blame. If anyone has a remedy to this problem, I'd truly appreciate assistance.

Bundled phones have the plan included with the psim so usually need to be activated that way first.
