Good reviews on the mower but I wonder how accessible aftermarket batters will be now that Hart is no longer.

I had one of these and their batteries last forever! One battery allowed me to mow .25 acres and some juice left over.

I feel mine is not strong enough. A little bit higher or denser grass makes the motor slow down and if I keep going it got stuck.

I've seen an adapter that lets you use Ryobi batteries

I agree with you. I'll use my current hart until it dies and then move onto another battery model

unless you just need the battery in this your better off to get the Greenworks one posted for the same price. It seems to be taking over the walmart space.

Greenworks is push, this is self propelled. That's a pretty big difference. Plus 16" vs 20". And the smaller battery. Two completely different purposes.

Transparently—it is a decent deal but if you have an Ollies near you check there first bc they had the dual blade version for sale with 8ah battery for 199 along with a bunch of other hart tools. I got the mower there (the dual blade one) and it works quite well. Honestly Ollies is somewhat the better slickdeals

I bought this mower about 4 years ago on an end of season clearance for about this price and have been fairly happy. The battery died last year with about 3 months warranty left. Hart OK'd the warranty but never sent it. Multiple attempts to contact them went nowhere. I finally found another on closeout for 100 bucks. Almost 3 years on a battery with weekly use isn't bad I guess. But the customer service left a bad taste. The mower is good. The company, not so much.

Not sure about after market batteries but HART has a great warranty. My mower batteries failed and they sent me new replacement batteries!
