First 3 numbers of the model # tells you who built it for Kenmore. 106.xxx is Whirlpool. I think 293.xxx is Frigidaire, etc.

My brother's LG compressor died right after the 3-year mark.

For everyone talking about the linear compressor (and LG's well documented history of issues with same), this fridge does not have LG's linear compressor (pre-2018). Nor does it have LG's redesigned linear compressor (2018+, still had issues). This has an inverter compressor. Check specs at the bottom of the product page under "cooling."

Can I buy now and think it over and cancel later before delivery? Just left Lowes. You can't buy anything close to this other than bottom barrel.

Great deal. I also had a "Spend $350, get $200 at LG Electronics" on capital one shopping and 5.25 percent cashback on BofA CC for online purchases. Not sure if the 200$ cashback from Capital One will come through since this is lg member store, but even if it doesn't it's still a great deal.

The LG Partner Store is different from the main LG store, so I wouldn't hold my breath if the Cap1 offer didn't state it specifically in their terms and conditions.


EDIT: Just checked and I see separate offers for LG Electronics & LG Partner Store in Cap1 offers, so I don't think it will work.

About to pull the trigger on the deal. Got the 3 year extended warranty. I guess if the compressor goes out it'd be cheaper for them to just give me back the $700 instead of sending a technician to repair?
