Can't speak to acemagic's quality, but I'm a fan of this chipset - I use an n5 pro with the same, 64gb of ddr5. Nice workstation (vms etc), server, and storage mix. The npu and AI on shared system ram for gpu are slow, though lemonade is getting better for lite stuff on the npu.

RAM is pricey, but with 32+ you can set up a nice steam machine type box with the 890m - that's how I end up using my n5 the most

So I have this mini PC and I like it. Purchased a barebone system about 2 weeks ago. I found 64GB of RAM on facebookmarketplace for $350. I use the SK Hynix P41 2TB hard drive and the system flies.

I did not need to even purchase a Window's Key the motherboard was already registered to Windows 11 Pro.

On the n5 pro I added a low profile gpu (ada 2000e). On this and generally the best move is a ~$100 oculus link egpu dock and add a 9060t, 9070, 4070 type gpu

The HX 370 has a built-in GPU, Radeon 890M. The 890M is as good if not better than the Z1 Extreme, The APU on the Steam deck and Asus ROG Ally.

Got the same system but bosgame (better imho) for 888 with 1tb +32g. Did want 64g but just glad got it before the next day when they went up 90. For 2-300 more you could go 470 but it's not much more. If you don't care about $ get the 2tb. Then it's faster 8000 but soldered and only 1700-2000 more. (Which is double + the price) at that point I'd be shopping 395+ instead...

The problem is prices of RAM and hard drives. And I am a stickler when it comes to what brand and model hard drive I buy and I don't care if it cost me $50 more.

But I priced out two systems...
16GB of RAM is $125 and 500GB gen 4 hd is $50... total price is 674
This is looking for the cheapest I can find on ebay.

Next is 32GB of RAM $280 and 2TB SK Hynix P41 is $250... now your price is $1030.00.

Last system and comparison.
32GB of RAM and 1TB gen 4 = $280+$125+499 =

That's the RAMageddon effect. With RAM prices soaring this year, maybe a kit like this will be attractive to someone who can reuse RAM from an old PC.
