I snagged one of these kits for $175 a few years back, I ended up using it to cut small straight branches for firewood, it is faster than chainsaw because you can saw one handed. it works great!

bought for that same price 11/2024 and the trigger quit working last week. barely used the tool in that time, still looks brand new. they really should redesign the battery cradle to not hold sawdust

Good deal, but not in stock anywhere near me. I bought it before for the batteries and sold the saws, but I don't need anymore of either now.

Makita rear handle addresses this, but it also needs two 18V batteries to run at 36V.

You know they have lifetime warranty's right? Usually takes 3 days from start warranty to fixed or replaced at my house. Best warranty service I've ever used.

yeah I signed up for thr LSA, but 3 days seems mighty optimistic giving all the shipping involved

Incorrect.

They do not have a lifetime warranty. They have a "Lifetime Service Agreement", which whooo boy daddy -- you should read that. It's absolutely NOT a warranty, and it lacks almost all of the legal warranty protections one would normally have under a capital-W Warranty.

So a goodwill find...a wild goose chase. If you can't easily reproduce the deal, then it's not an actual deal -- more of a game of luck.

Their warranty has served me quite well. I have had few failures, have 72 tools/batteries with them, and am very pleased with the "lifetime service agreement". Do I like Harbor Freight's no-questions-asked over-the-counter brushless Hercules 5yr tools, 3yr battery warranty, yes, but I have quite a few years left in me, and I will be using my "lifetime service agreement" numerous times in the years to come, happily.

Once again, the LSA is not a warranty. It's like calling a moped "a car", simply because both use gasoline and can drive down the road. It's inaccurate, both in how it functions and how it is viewed legally.

This has been this price and out of stock locally for me for at least 3 or 4 months. I always love YMMV deals, though, whether I can find them or not.
