This is a great deal on a great printer. Unless you're willing to move up to the creator 5 (which costs significantly more) this is the one to get.

did this last black Friday for about this money. its a good printer. I got about 1300 hours on mine. having some issues now and upgrading. but I used the crap out of it and had some growing pains learning. I'd say if your curious if your going to enjoy 3d printing get it. I wouldn't expect it to last much longer than 1000-1500 hrs of printing without a majoy overhall though

I had to install the app, apply my address to the settings; have since ordered 2 - AD5X (shipped to Oregon).

I was just looking at the ad5x, it's $329 at local microcenter. It's seriously $100+ cheaper from ali?

I'm inches away from buying at microcenter to ensure arrival and quality of product, but $100 is tempting.

Any experience getting 3d printers from this vendor? What are issues or challenges / considerations compared to the local shop?
Yep, Just bought it from them last week. It took 6 days to arrive and was shipped from California to Georgia. Arrived in perfect condition and prints great. This is the best deal for a 3D printer period. I would use the $100 saved to buy extra filament.

Yes, I ordered my anycubic kobra 3 combo from them and it arrived in less than 7 days with no damage. I have heard of some bad experiences with returns, but have not experienced any personally.

Sorry to hear you've had issues. I'm running four AD5X printers. Have over 2000 hours on one and about 1700 on another. They are still running flawlessly. I've purchased all of them from Ali and they came direct from Flashforge US in less than 10 days. Got them all in the $215 - $250 range. For this price why even worry about an overhaul, just buy another. I have one in the box now and just bought a second on this deal as backups. These are solid printers.

The AD5X is one of the best budget printers on the market today, and this is a very good price on it. I've got about 800 hours of printing on mine since purchasing it Black Friday, with minimal failures and a lot less required maintenance than prior generations of printers. It's handled both TPU and PETG great.

There are currently some growing pains with the new FlashStudio applications, but OrcaSlicer now supports the AD5X's multifilament system natively and you can install ZMod if you want a more pure Klipper experience.

It's a pretty solid first 3D printer, and a fantastic upgrade if you're used to the tinkering required by something like an Ender 3 Series printer.

I've been eyeballing this forever and this is a 'buy now' price. Still torn between this or putting a few more parts (and less money) into a franken-voron build that's halfway there.

New to 3d printing here. Does it come with any type of software to design and print or I have to bring my own?

it has a slicer which takes the model and turns it into code for the printer to print. you can make your own in tinkercad. frankly that and hueforge is all I use. I keep meaning to learn more advance software, but has been good enough.

This is actually buying from the official flashforge store page on AliExpress so it's legit. It usually also ships from US warehouses so it's usually actually pretty quick as well. And you can often use cashback sites/apps with ali to make it even cheaper than this already awesome price (up to 20-30% callback in the past).

Also, since you'll likely need it soon enough, the various bulk pla and petg filament deals found on here through ali usually are also great. 10 spools for around $60 shipped is pretty common.

Danggggg. I just paid way more for one. But honestly, still happy with it even at a higher price. It's phenomenal .
