Just FYI, not VESA compatible, can't mount it on the arm
Not sure what you guys are talking a/b, claiming this monitor isn't VESA mountable. Unlike you, I actually own this monitor and I did a review of it on my YouTube channel and based on my picture I just attached, it does indeed have VESA holes for it to be mounted so stop spreading misinformation. There is no mention of VESA mount and from the pictures, there isn't one, so I wouldn't expect to be able to mount this monitor anywhere but on its stand.
The support page [ktcplay.com] mentions VESA mounting, but leaves things ambiguous. Clearly they left off some of the information that would have completed the loop.

If you say "see below for VESA information", then there should be more information. Even if that information is "VESA mounting is not supported". Otherwise a person might assume that VESA is supported and they accidentally didn't include the information.

Quote :
How Do I Mount the H27D9 Monitor on a Wall or Monitor Arm?

Use this section if you are searching for how to mount a monitor on a wall, how to attach a monitor arm, or what VESA size the KTC H27D9 uses.

Turn the monitor off and unplug all cables.
Remove the stand according to the original manual.
Use a compatible mount and hardware suitable for the monitor.
Follow the wall-mount diagram in the original manual.
If you are not sure whether the wall or bracket is suitable, ask a qualified installer.
The HD27D9 user manual [ktcplay.com] has a section labeled "Base and Wall Mount". However, I don't think it mentions wall mounting anywhere else. A clearer heading would be "Base installation". If the manual included the heading "HDMI and DVI connections" and then made no more mention of DVI, a person might accidentally assume that the device has a DVI connector.

I stand by my original statement that I frequently feel like I'm rolling the dice with these types of purchases. One of many issues is that there is often conflicting evidence online, and the official documentation is poorly written and validated. As I mentioned, I have purchased many items from Ali Express, and I intend to continue purchasing from there. In fact, I just received one of the JHK office chairs that have been popping up on Slick Deals and I have a few items en route now.

I don't think my assessment is unfair. I pay less for these items. But one of the trade-offs is that the support and documentation tends to be to be worse in general. And every once in a while that does cause a concern or problem.

There is conflicting information online about this. I don't have proof, but it looks like the most likely answer is that there have been multiple production batches for this "KTC HD27D9" monitor. Earlier ones likely omitted the VESA mounting option. And newer ones likely added it.

I believe that you are unintentionally spreading misinformation. If so, I don't think it would be fair to say that it is your fault. As I mentioned on my post just before this, poor documentation and communication on the part of KTC would be to blame.

Also, all that being said, it is still unclear whether the monitors shipped with this deal would include VESA mounting or not. I wouldn't count on it including the VESA mounting option. "Clearing out the older, worse inventory" would be a good reason to sell something like this at a lower price.

Did you personally purchased this monitor from this exact same Ali Express listing and receive a monitor that supports VESA mounting? If so, then I'd reverse my assumption and guess that people jumping on this deal will also get one that supports VESA. Otherwise, it's still unclear.

P.S. Thanks for chiming in to the thread with first hand information. Even though you might be incorrect that all HD27D9 monitors including VESA holes, you still provided real hard evidence that at least some of these monitors include it.

Unless you own this very monitor, the HD27D9 that's being promoted in the OP then how can you question the validity of my statement when I actually shown proof to support my statement unlike you. At this point, you're just talking theory as there was no need for your dissertation. Everything you just asked is self explanatory had you watched my review video since it's already been addressed 🙄🤷🏾 ♂️...

Correct, I was talking theory. A very reasonable theory that would explain why there seems to be contradictory statements online about VESA compatibility. Now I'm talking about strong evidence, which I'm sharing below.
  1. The Amazon.com [amazon.com] product page specifically states "Q: Is this monitor VESA compatible? A: No, this monitor does not support VESA mounting." On that same page, a reviewer from July 30, 2025 stated "Does not have vesa mounting brackets on rear. Is not obvious from the advertisement."
  2. KTC has a 35 second promo video [youtube.com] for the H27D9. Your video shows the location of the VESA holes at the 5:01 mark [youtu.be]. The official KTC video clearly shows those VESA holes missing at the 0:26 mark [youtu.be].
  3. The Ali Express listing the OP linked to includes a picture of the rear with no VESA mounting holes.
  4. The picture of the monitor in the manual [ktcplay.com] does not show any screw holes.
  5. The manual [ktcplay.com] includes the heading "Base and Wall Mount". But aside from that, it does not mention anything about mounting the monitor using any method than the included stand.
  6. The support page [ktcplay.com] for the H27D9 mentions "Use this section if you are searching for ... or what VESA size the KTC H27D9 uses." It then proceeds to not mention VESA again.
  7. An official product page [ktcplay.com] from KTC shows pictures of the rear of the monitor without VESA mounting holes.
  8. This Reddit comment [reddit.com] is someone expressing their surprise when they received a H27D9 without a VESA mounting option.
  9. In this Reddit comment [reddit.com] from 4 months ago, someone shares their response from KTC support. They claim that KTC support stated "Regarding the H27D9 model: the latest production batches do support VESA mounting, with a mounting hole pattern of 75mm × 75mm and screw specification M4×8. However, please note that earlier batches may not be VESA-compatible."
  10. This unboxing video [youtube.com] was posted on August 29th, 2025. At the 2:13 mark [youtube.com], you can clearly see that the monitor is missing the VESA holes that yours has.
You are a random internet person who showed a H27D9 unboxing video that included VESA mounting. The last item the list I just shared includes another random internet person who posted an older H27D9 unboxing video where the monitor does NOT include VESA mounting.

Keep in mind that my original argument was not that all of the H27D9 monitors are lacking VESA mount points. I said there is evidence to support that VESA mounting was not added to the H27D9 until sometime after the initial production run. Now I have provided a lot of evidence from various sources.

Please indicate where in your video where you show proof that I am incorrect. Keep in mind that providing examples of H27D9 monitors having VESA holes does not weaken my argument. If you think that it does, then it shows that you don't understand my original statement. You would need to show proof that there are not some H27D9 monitors that lack VESA mounting holes.

Once again, where do you show proof? I apologize if you do have legitimate proof in your video. But you have to understand that it's unrealistic to expect someone to watch almost 29 minutes of video to check if you are correct. I'm making the assumption that you most likely show an example of one device having VESA mount holes.

You know should know your video well. Just specify where in the video you show proof that there weren't any H27D9 produced that didn't include VESA mounting holes.

Respectfully, I'm not going to read your long drawn out love letter when you don't even own the product that you're evidently trying to argue me up and down a/b. Last time I checked, you responded to my assertion w/ "theory" and w/ no actual proof or concrete evidence, just making baseless claims while I've shown tangible proof to support my statements so stop it while you're ahead b/c this whole time all you've done is display nothing, but "confident ignorance." I don't even know what it is a/b you randos on the internet who talk a whole lot a/b nothing w/o anything to show for it. Get yourself a girlfriend b/c on the surface this whole diatribe you've been doing w/ multiple people besides myself appears to be overcompensation for something you lack.

Hypocrisy at it's finest. You cannot take the time to look over a few bullet points. However, you link to a long video and expect people to take the time to watch it.

You created a 29 minute video review of this monitor, and are using this video as proof. Are you telling me that when asked to provide a timestamp from your video to reference, you cannot do that? If you cannot provide anything specific, especially with content that you authored, then it is clear you don't have an argument.

As you stated, "last time you checked" didn't include my last post. Ignoring the truth doesn't make it go away. I provided 10 specific arguments in my last post, each being easy to validate within a few seconds. You have still not provided anything specific.

You provided a video that shows VESA mounting holes. I provided a video that shows missing VESA mounting holes. Looking at these together affirms my argument that there are multiple models. And it refutes your argument that all H27D9 monitors are compatible with VESA mounts.

It's as old as the internet. When someone is too stubborn to admit that they're wrong, they pivot to an unrelated personal attack. It did seem cool and edgy in the 90's. But once you grow up, you realize it's just kids and really sad adults that act like this.

Lmao 🤣🤣🤣... I would hope so 😂. Thank you for proving my point and confirming what I've been advocating this whole time. Hopefully, now that there's someone else besides me saying it, maybe that'll be enough to shut up these delusional internet trolls who don't even own this monitor which you would expect to be the case based on conventional wisdom, but I wouldn't hold my breath since I'm already expecting a useless rebuttal from them just so they can get the last word 😂.

This was actually really helpful. That other person arguing with you is sure getting emotional. They don't understand that they are just one data point, but they are acting as if their one data point is ALL data points. Your evidence is clear and makes it plausible (not guaranteed, but plausible) that this monitor may not come with VESA holes, so it's still a risky purchase. Perhaps the new batches do come with VESA holes, but you still showed why it may not be guaranteed. Also, you very clearly won the debate between you and the other guy, if that matters. Not sure why they are getting their panties in a twist over someone merely providing more relevant info on the monitor.

OMG Frank, what is wrong with ppl today? I just received my monitor and it litterally has VESA holes on it. I dont understand how someone who has never bought one has the audacity to critcize you when their arguments have no merit. That is so immature. The Bible says "put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, [we] may be able to stand [our] ground, and after [we] have done everything, to stand": Ephesians 6:13. I wish you the best praying for you. 🙏

AI is far from infallible, but it can be treated as what it is: an additional data point. If you ask multiple AIs and they all give similar answers, it doesn't guarantee that they are right. But it does increase the probability that they are accurate.

Take our posts from this thread. (As a tip, you can "print" this page and save it as a PDF.) Then paste the conversation in its entirety into any AI of your choosing, such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc. Give the LLM no information other than the conversation and a minimal, straightforward prompt like "Who won this discussion? Zyberwoof or Frank_Nitty?" Don't provide it any other information to give it a bias.

It only takes a minute or 2 to do this. If you truly believe you have the high ground in this discussion, I encourage you to run the experiment yourself. And if you disagree with the response you get, then repeat it with a different AI product.
