That's the credit card offers site.

The Capital One "Shopping" site is different and not really affiliated with the credit card site. And you only get Gift Card rewards from "Shopping". From often quite limited stores.

Ps: Also probably not really allowed to discuss other shopping sites here.

What do people do with their mint plans after a year and the promo pricing ends? Do I read right that it would go to $40/mon for unlimited

I did some research because I'm susceptible to buyer's remorse.

One of the best recent deals for buying a used Pixel 9, not the new Pixel 10, on its own was $347. No plan included. [128GB Google Pixel 9 (Used - Like New) at Amazon, May 15, 2026]

3 months after the Pixel 10 was released in Aug 2025, Mint Mobile had a similar deal on a new Pixel 9: $379, or $50 more than this deal. For a last gen phone. [New Mint Mobile Customers: 128GB Google Pixel 9 (Locked) + 12-Mo Unlimited Plan, Nov 19, 2025]

US Mobile also got rid of their inventory of the Pixel 9 before that: $339 (Pixel 9) + 1-Month of the $25 Unlimited Starter Plan = $364. This was about a month after the Pixel 10 came out and if you wanted a year of service, the total was about $500. [US Mobile: 128GB Google Pixel 9 Smartphone w/ Activation on Min. 30-Day Plan Req., Sep 6, 2025]

My conclusion: This is better than most historical deals. It's even better than ones that happen after a new model is released, which doesn't apply as this is still (just barely) the current model. It's definitely possible a better deal will come up, but I wouldn't bet on it. Even if it does happen, you'll likely have to wait a couple months.

Context: the Pixel 10 (128GB & Unlocked) goes for ~$460 on the used market. Mint's deal is in new condition.

Amazed this deal exists since all phone makers are being crunched for parts due to the AI race.

Can I activate plan on device and then immediately move to my daily driver? The device unlocks or will it need active service on the new device?

Think I read 45 days on the site. May have just been some type of generalization for many of their deals. Don't know what happens if you don't activate by then.

After the phone unlocks (60 days) is it possible to generate a new eSIM and sell the remainder of the plan to someone else?

If you're out of mint more than 30 days, you should be good. Just use a different email

No one knows pricing a year out for Mint let alone any other carrier. Not something to be to worried about. You can take your new phone to any service you like. As a reference, if you really need an unlimited plan, Tello is $25, same T-mobile service as Mint. Same terms, after 50gb data is throttled.
