But assuming that you got a cheap leftover SSD, this, IMO, is the better deal. Even a modest GPU via oculink will destroy the 780m. $200 is a lot... And ssds are magnitudes cheaper than RAM.
So it is a feeling based on lots of stats... but my feeling is the 780m was the first internal GPU that was able to compete with stand alone GPUs due to being able to play the games (in low settings) pretty damn smooth.

I look at the cooling of these mini pc's. Heat is their achilles heel. There has been much chatter about hardware failing due to heat. The mobo's are made by these companies and they are usually not the best. IMHO, only the flag ship models may have better components... but even that is unknown cause there is no one doing testing of them. From the research I did... I came down to a list of five decent mini pc's that have decent cooling...
- Beelink SER8
- MINISFORUM Venus UM790 Pro
- ACEMAGIC F5A
- GMKtec NucBox K8 Plus
- ASUS ROG NUC
S0 there is one of these that is afordable IMHO... and that is the Acemagic F5A with the Ryzen 7 255, 24LPDDR5 6400 and 1TB gen 4 m.2 for $590. And I know that sucks... so much more money, but do you want a system that lasts for years with out worry or do you want a ticking time bomb until something fails due to overheating.And this system is not bad for cooling but it does not come close to the list I mentioned above.

Keep in mind that is the engineer expected boost max. This unit does use a vapor chamber cooler, and you can always modify the fan curve in bios and switch from the factory paste to ptm7950 pad if desired.

Again, it is all about airflow and longevity. I honestly believe that a high percentage of mini systems will not last more then five years due to heat issues. There is already TONS of people that have claimed their system has failed.
It is well-established that heat is one of the most common causes of instability and premature component wear in these mini pc's AND a ton of them break over time.
And you talk about the USUAL 95CV Tjmax... the absolute highest temperature the silicon die inside your processor is designed to reach before it forces a system shutdown to prevent permanent physical damage. Usually if your system gets close to 95 your system will start to throttle you... and then you can through all those specs out the door... you know when you said the 780m is 10% faster (even it is really between 10 - 20% faster). At the same time, when it gets close to 95C you are putting heavy stress on the components. And the mobo is usually made very cheap.

Show me the same thing with any of the five systems I mentioned. Cause I can't find shit about issues of those systems because they have the best cooling features right now on the market.
