It doesn't support XInput which killed it for me.

Per my quick research, it does via USB-C or 2.4 GHz wireless dongle, but does not over Bluetooth.

My backbone controller happened to just die, so I'll give this a shot and return it if it doesn't work out. From the research I've done though, it sounds like an all-around great controller. I'll be using it to game on an iPhone 16.

This G8+ MFi does not have bluetooth. Bluetooth or 2.5ghz wireless is only available on standard G8 Plus.

There's no 2.4 ghz dongle support for this controller. The G8+ MFI is USBC only.

Apologies for the confusion; I got the models mixed up and have corrected my mistake. Thanks for letting us know!

USBC only. Very high quality; major parts are replaceable. No lag (because it's USBC only, not Bluetooth). Firmware update shows 8900 available, but shipped with 91xx, so I didn't touch firmware at all.

Works great with lots of iOS games and things (because it's standard...mfi...)

How are you all gaining access to games? Steam? Any alternative places to get games?

It extends really far and feels super flimsy as a result. The software also looked like it might give China direct access to my PC. I returned it pretty quickly.
A bit of a dumb comment. The device you're connecting it too helps support the controller..like tent poles support the fabric of a tent.

You can use it software free. That being said, what was your criteria for thinking it would access your PC? This is for mobile devices.

It worked with gamepass just fine. The device was really well built but unfortunately had to return because the short grip length was uncomfortable for me after a short while.

I've used this on my Android phone with Game Pass, Steam, and Moonlight. It works great with controller-supported Android games. Plus, the app lets you map touch controls to physical buttons so you can play games without native support—I tried it on LoL: Wild Rift and others.

Okay so I just got it, and I'm already very impressed. Someone said the build quality is cheap, and it feels fliimsy when you expand it to connect a device. I disagree wholeheartedly.

It. Is. Solid. I tried it with my iPhone 16 in a dbrand Grip case, and it fits perfectly. The handhelds are very comfortable (way better than my previous BackBone). The overall feel of the analog sticks and the buttons is awesome. I also realized it has a gyro, which is a huge plus for me when I'm aiming shots with archer-type characters.

For $64, this is one heck of a controller.
