It's a four hour job typically with one pro and one helper. I can't even drive to your house and set up my tools for $100 with gas insurance and taxes. The permit for the electric in my city would be $80. An electrician that I subcontract with would be $150 plus probably $250 in romex, breaker, disconnect, outlet etc to be at code.

The built-in WiFi in my old mrcool was trash. The sensibo system I use to automate all 6 of my analog AUX units is excellent. I would recommend going with an analog unit and getting sensibo if the unit is going to cost $100 less than a native wifi one and you need multiple units.

How easy is install? I have a 15x18 family room on a slab with no AC. Furnace is in the attic so adding AC would be $$$.

I only asked a few places, but what would you estimate the cost would be if:

- hole is already cut in house, and unit is installed on wall already
- unit is already mounted on concrete pad or mounted to house with bracket
- 12 gauge wire is already ran from box to location of split (but not hooked up to box or unit yet)

Im just trying to keep costs down, and use HVAC/Electrician where I dont feel comfortable. I can do all the grunt work, but charging the lines and some of the electrical I'd rather pay a pro.

One company said they either do the whole thing or nothing.....

I have an unused 220v circuit in my basement, and I've been thinking about putting one of these down there. If I do that, would I have to cut a hole in my foundation for the lines to go out side or could I go through a basement window? I'm guessing I'd need to go through the wall

Look at you tube videos to install
Pretty easy you need buy vacuum pump about $100 to pump out lines cheaper to run than window air conditioner

Yes, you have to cut hole to get the lines outside to reach the outdoor unit.

I assumes you ask about this 12k BTU 230V unit. This unit draws less than 1200 watts. So you need 15 amp double breaker. You don't need 20 amp breaker.

Thanks. We have an unused vent from an old water heater we replaced that I might be able to run them through instead. Gonna check the dimensions and space, looks like this could also replace my dehumidifier down there too which would be awesome.
