u purchase the unit in either 120 or 240 ... we have purchased several of each .... walking into a warm room with these turned on for cooling -- no difference in time to cool or $$$ used in electricity

I heard other said that Auto Zone or Auto Part store allow them to RENT FOR FREE. I installed 3 mini splits. So I bought mine. Try call or stop by Auto Zone ask them about it. If it's not working, let us know. We will help you find vacuum pump and gauge set easily.

MIni split AC is very cold and extreme hot. I can't stand in front of it very long time. You want to turn AC/HEAT on ahead of time to warm/cool down. You need the model with WIFI APP CONTROL. With the app control you could turn on/off with your phone. But look like this model Garvee doesn't have wifi. Couple days ago, I posted the "TURBRO 12,000 BTU Ductless Mini Split Inverter AC with Heat Pump, 24 SEER2, 208-230V". This one have WIFI and good for people live in North. Because the heat still work even outside temp low as -13 degree. But the deal is dead now.

Yes, it is little too much for bedroom that size. I had 9k BTU model for my 150 sq ft bedroom. It able to cool/heat my room, bathroom, and another bedroom 30 feet away. So small bedroom, I think 9k BTU is perfect and save energy cost.

Of course. You can install a gas chamber too. Loose lips sink ships. Albeit I'm a certified HVAC tech, I installed several split units for family and friends in permit areas without any recourse. Just be quick about it. Most inspectors don't say shit about old work — tell your friends/family that "it was there when I bought the house".

If it takes you 4 hours with someone helping you, you should probably consider a different profession.

Yeah it's really not super difficult. Get a 115v one and it's even easier, you can literally run a 12awg extension cord and just plug it into any GFI outlet. That even passes code as the quick disconnect point. Mount the indoor unit, drill a slightly angled hole, run the wire/hoses, connect them. Rent an AC Vac tool for free from Autozone, pull vac., walk away for an hour, if the bar didn't move it's good to go.

I wouldn't buy another GarveeHome air conditioner if you tried to sell it to me for $1. They are horrible and the customer service is the worst I have ever experienced.
