if you travel internationally a lot then unlimited is really great, works everywhere around the world as long as you are back in the USA within 3 months. I've switched from premium to unlimited a few weeks before foreign travel and switched back after with no problems, multiple times. Obviously YMMV if you have any promos ongoing (I didn't).
i've been on fi for years, its fine as a service as long as you are good at taking care of stuff yourself and have good awareness of backup recovery keys, 2FA, multiple device gmail access, etc. Google Fi support is virtually non existent and worse than amazon, etc. There are constant horror stories of users getting their google account suspended and losing fi, 2FA, etc access. Its kinda scary when you really sit down and think about how much of your life is tied to your gmail account (banks, brokers, work, bills, utilities, on and on).
Google Fi as a service should be pretty safe, google uses it internally as their mobile service so 100k+ google employees are really the primary customer. As long as thats true the service basically should work. The second Google makes a deal for all its employees to switch to T-Mobile or whatever, thats the day I switch service too.

Did you fail reading comprehension in middle school or are you just being obtuse?
My wife is the only one in our family that talks ALOT. Myself and my kids literally don't use talk minutes at all. I've been moving myself and my kids to the cheapest MVNO plans, but now I think I have a really good solution to cover us all under my wife's Fi Premium plan:
I will get 3 tello lines for 300 minutes and No data (includes unltd texting) for $5/m. Then I will use one of the free data-only SIMs that Fi provides in each phone for data with the dual-sim capability of the phones. Data sims are shared against the 100GB/month of the main Fi account, which we should never even get close to using. So even once the promo ends, we'll be paying $65/m plus $15/m, or $80/m for 4 lines. And since we travel internationally at least a few weeks a year, the International data is a nice bonus; getting separate data eSIMs for travel usually costs $30/phone.
