I bought this hybrid fan kit w/ 4ah battery for $50 in store back in Nov 2025.

I'll bite when it gets lower.

Got this fan from DTO. Really like it. Hybrid feature was the selling point for me. Very quiet brushless motor, looks good enough for use around the house, even on the lowest speed pushes a decent amount of air. I appreciate the hybrid feature plugs into a standard extension cord. No DC converter (wall wart style) needed like in other brands. Also eligible for LSA from DTO blemish or HD.

Me too. But that means it'll eventually drop to $40, then $20 if any are still left.

I have the older style and use it for camping, among other things. It will last all night (6+ hrs) on medium with a 4 Ah battery. I also use it for keeping cool while doing yard work and it's excellent for that, too!

Agree that these are fantastic fans. Used during a 4th of July party and it was very popular.

Source for using a brushless motor? On HD website it claims the new one is still brushed...

Good catch. This is NOT brushless. I'm confusing with the clip version. Being hybrid, I suspect it's likely going to be a single phase brushed motor. Despite this, I think it highlights how quiet the unit runs, I would have assumed all this time it has to be brushless.

I have three of these and one has been running for almost four years 24/7 on low speed blowing across eight external hard drives to help manage heat. Flawless and I can't hear it. One of the other two has been in an attic blowing out a vent whenever it gets really hot in my garage. these are great tools and the lifetime warranty on both the tool and the batteries is fantastic. These are clearance at $80 in the Seattle area and as soon as they drop more I will need to fight the SD effect of buying another since I really don't need one.
