I found it really annoying using it with 2 sources. It would only recognize 1 source(PCs). I had to wake it up with remote and change source manually pretty much every time. I think their software is pretty bad when it is a requirement to use it.
Inputs
HDMI ARC
TOSLINK Optical
USB Type C
RJ45 Ethernet (network)
USB Type C (interspeaker)
One of the biggest annoyances for me on these if they have no aux-input. you'd have to connect to them via optical audio, hdmi arc, bluetooth or usb-c. (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)
That said, they are smart so you can do
AirPlay 2
Google Chromecast
Chromecast
UPnP Compatible
Bluetooth 5.0

one way to tell if these are are decent deal is to look on ebay. Tons of them on sale, many look like they got these at $299 at costco and selling these to make some $. At $299 these are a deal, at $399 tons on ebay for about the same.
From research on Reddit, these aren't remotely comparable to the $1k version that KEF sells. Not saying they're bad by any means, esp at this price, but keep in mind this isn't the same model as the incredibly well regarded higher end model,
They are identical, I have a pair I bought years ago and a pair of these from 6 months ago. The Costco version just doesn't have the auxiliary and optical ports. You have no idea what you're talking about.

They don't need a receiver. They have their own internal amplification. I guess you technically could use with a receiver if your receiver has RCA outs to bypass its internal implication, or for a second zone. But they're really designed to be all-in-one device that you would plug your sources (TV, streamer, computer, etc.) directly into.

I didn't know what I was buying and got them for 300 cuase I needed speakers and planned to return them.
Holy crap, they are amazing for being so small. Haven't had high end speakers like this in a long time and it's a delight.
Did a bunch of research after they blew me away and i wall mounted them and perfectly towed them in and they have the best phantom center channel out there.
They have a pretty large port on the back and go down to 50hz and they do upper and mid bass surprisingly well.
A few times, I thought I had this crappy 12" jbl that I'm returning to bestbuy plugged in when an explosion happened or glass shattered, but it was just these little guys.
They completely and totally blow away any sound bar for music and most media. The only bad thing is you have to spend 1,000+ to get a sub in the same tier if you want that flat, reference style, audiophile kind of sound.
Even with a cheap jbl 220p, they slap, I'm returning that sub to get a sub with the same wow factor as the speakers.
