I keep talking myself out of getting it as I love my currrent setup, though do miss the ultrawides sometimes.
I think I'd have to put this on the bottom with the two wides on the top and get rid of the top center. But then the speakers would have to move to thes sides of the wide on bottom.

You can easily uninstall the software and prevent it from reinstalling.

That's not the point. The point is a monitor is triggering a software push when it should just be a monitor. This isn't even touching the terms and condition fiasco with the TVs who tell the end user it's their responsibility to inform people watching the tv that their data will be collected.

Yes, you can block the automatic installation by following the instructions below. However, the whole point is that you shouldn't have to do any of this. Just go and watch the video instead.

BTW, the monitor referenced in Gamer's Nexus video went on sale from $1200 to $689 within 24 hours of posting. LOL!

LG monitor software, specifically the LG Monitor App Installer, is being silently installed via Windows Update when compatible displays are connected, often triggering unwanted McAfee promotional pop-ups. This behavior utilizes a Windows driver pipeline to trigger a Microsoft Store app installation without user consent or a prompt.
To block this automatic installation, users can enable a specific Group Policy setting. Open gpedit.msc and navigate to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > System > Device Installation. Enable the policy titled "Prevent automatic download of applications associated with device metadata." This setting stops Windows from pulling vendor-specific apps tied to connected hardware while preserving standard driver updates.
Alternatively, users can disable the Microsoft Store entirely via Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Store by enabling "Turn off the Store application," though this is a more aggressive measure that affects all Store functionality. For immediate relief, the app can also be prevented from launching at startup via Settings > Apps > Startup, though this does not remove the underlying package or prevent future reinstallation.
