I'm about 10 months into owning an Oral-b iO (I was lured in by the lower prices and the fact that my Sonicares have always had the battery die after like a year and a half.)
I hate the Oral B with a passion. I don't care if the Sonicares die after 1.5-2 years or that the heads are more expensive any more. I pray for the Oral B to die every time I use it.

This Philips Sonicare 2 pack lands as a value play for basic sonic brushing, with the newer motor and design, a pressure sensor, and the same internals as pricier Philips models. The warehouse price has been confirmed at about $70, and pickup avoids the $6.99 shipping fee. The package includes only three brush heads total, and the deal works out best around $35 each. Battery life and charging reliability are the main concern, with reports of units weakening or failing to charge after a few years or even within days.
Common Questions (5)
Battery life can decline after about 1.5 to 2 years, and some units reportedly stop charging after a few years of use. Others have lasted 10+ years, but with shorter runtime than when new.
Yes, this model is described as having a pressure sensor and the newer 6-zone design. Those are the main features to look for if you want the safety cue for brushing too hard and the updated head coverage.
Yes, local Costco warehouse pickup can avoid the shipping fee. The 2-pack has also been seen around $70 for months, and the warehouse sale price was confirmed.
The 2-pack includes 3 brush heads total, so each toothbrush does not get a full extra spare. That matters if you want both brushes to have their own backup head right away.
It is described as the most affordable model with the same internals as the premium versions, with the main differences being features. A Philips employee also said all brushes have a 2.5-year warranty, possibly more through Costco.

You might take a look at lower priced models and see if you're able to step down. I think the travel version might be less powerful.
Maybe someone can educate us what we're missing out on if not using any of the features.
Of note: only reason I've tried all of them is because they only last a couple of years so consider it disposable. I used to think I broke them after dropping by accident, but eventually noticed after taking good care that they still get weak and loud after time has passed.
Hence I'm once again shopping for a replacement. I see this new one has the USB plug charger.
I'm like you and I think this is the sweet spot (assuming sale price ~$35 each). I've tried the top of the line but never used any of the features and on this one only use the high setting.

Does this one have pressure sensor
We bought 2 in 2020 and both stopped charging last month when only one was of them was used 2x daily! Also, these require a USB-C adapter now...
