Infimobile Freedom Unlimited is a yearlong unlimited plan that stands out for low upfront cost, network choice between T Mobile and Verizon, and enough hotspot data for light use. The plan can work well in weak Verizon areas, and the annual price compares favorably with Mint and some other prepaid options. The main drawbacks are harsh post 40GB throttling, with reduced speeds described as barely usable, plus fees for eSIM or SIM changes and reports of account bans tied to fair use enforcement. It looks best for basic, low data use where price matters more than flexibility.

  • Travelers who want a choice of T-Mobile or Verizon coverage, because the plan lets you pick either network.

  • Light-data phone users who only need basic service, because the annual plan can fit simple calling, texting, and modest usage.

  • Number parkers who need to keep a line active cheaply, because the plan includes minutes, texts, and a small monthly data allowance.

  • Rural Verizon users who need a backup line, because service stayed good in a Verizon-poor area for eight months.

  • Heavy data users who stream or browse after the premium bucket, because speeds can drop to 128kbps and become unusable.

  • Shoppers who expect easy port-out handling, because moving a number out can be frustrating and support can be poor.

  • People who need reliable account continuity, because the carrier can ban accounts and leave remaining service or a number at risk.

  • Users who rely on fast hotspot data, because the plan caps hotspot at 10GB.

What do you think about US Mo $199/y vs Mint $15/m?
US Mobile's Unlimited Starter deal on the T-Mobile network (for direct Mint comparison, US Mo calls it light speed) is better. $199 all in vs $212+ for Mint considering taxes/fees. US Mo gives you same QCI7 priority level, more high speed data (70 gigs before slowing down), HD streaming, free calls to a ton of countries instead of just 3, and a touch of international data. Only thing worse is 10gigs hotspot instead of 20.

That said, as GreenCircle6747 mentions, Mint may be better if in need of a new phone or if wanting to flip phones. In particular I saw they have a decent Pixel10 deal out now.

I have no personal experience with them but was looking around for the best option to mostly-"park" a number while still keeping it active.

Both infimobile and redpocket (via their eBay store) have plans with minutes, texts, and a small amount of monthly data for roughly $30 a year. And both seem to be known to be at least a little scummy when it comes time to port your number out, but anecdotally infimobile seemed the more scummy. IE expect headaches and frustration when trying to deal with them.

FWIW UltraMobile seems to have a better reputation at a slightly higher price of $3/month for the extended quasi-park scenario.

I haven't used Infinimobile, but US Mobile's $199 Unlimited Starter appears to be superior in most respects, and their customer service is surpringly good for an MVNO. They currently are running that promotion with a $25 digital gift card upon activation, so these will be functionally similar in price, but with 3 network choices for USM, and higher potential data limits and superior speeds once consuming premium data. USM's Dark Star (AT&T) has true unlimited data, while their Warp (Verizon) and Light Speed (Tmobile) Unlimited Starter plans have 70GB of "Premium Data" before being throttled down to 1mbps. Compare that to this Infinimobile plan that has premium data up to 40GB, then throttle to either 128kbps or 512kbps, depending on the plan. 1mbps is mostly usable for basic internet, but half that is awful.

With my Mint plan set to expire next month, I'm moving back to USM who I used previously for 15 months without issue.

Great breakdown. Had I known prior to switching I definitely would've done light speed with US Mobile. The throttling on Infimobile renders everything useless. I can barely get a website to populate.

I'm an existing customer with two lines, unlimited $175 does not show up in renewal plan dashboard.

Chatted with CS, he quoted me
FREEDOM UNLIMITED PLAN-12 for $198.15. Fees etc2 included.
Comes up around $16.5/month
If your usage is equivalent to 40gigs/month, this plan is great.

If not, the throttling is unbearable. I'm not a heavy user and would say I hover around intermediate usage. That equates to 60gb/month. Freedom throttles after 40.
