We ordered this during the last switch 2 woot deal and it arrived in horrible condition. The shipping box had been opened and retaped, the system was dirty, and the switch 2 box was dented heavily. Suffice it to say we returned it. Woot is pretty terrible with electronics.

I don't see how it's a fp deal when recently that pick a game bundle was only like $27 more than this. it would have to be down at the $399 for everyone to be a decent deal and even then that is too much for a switch 2. I have a bunch of best buy gcs so I have to hope maybe black friday the console with mario kart will be $399.

I agree that $399 would be a great BF deal, however, I personally don't think it's likely considering the times we are currently living in (RAMpocalypse), where almost 6 years into a console generation, we have seen competitors increase their prices by 30% (Sony) and 60% (Microsoft). Speaking of which, Nintendo has already announced an MSRP increase to $499.99 effective September 1, 2026. All things considered, this deal is decent, especially if you're a new customer and can get the $50 discount, effectively bringing it $399.

Community Reviews

This is a new Switch 2 listing, and the main appeal is getting the console below the usual price, especially if the new customer code drops it to about $399 after tax. The thread also notes that Switch 2 games can be digital, game key cards, or traditional physical cards, so resale is still possible on some titles. The biggest cautions are shipping and condition concerns, with reports of smashed boxes, opened or retaped packaging, and units that looked returned or dirty. New Hampshire shipping is blocked, so the deal is less straightforward for some buyers.

Good price. Will be $500 in a couple months apparently so if you plan on buying, probably best to do so soon.

If you got an amazon card its even better prolly down to 400. best deal you can get?

Just got one - I figured i'd sell my old switch and save another 150$ and now i'll be good on nintendo the next 5 years and ill beat the tariff hike.

The original NES launched at $199. Adjusted for inflation, that would be almost $600 in 2026.

That sucks. And I have a lot of best buy gcs so really need to get it from somewhere they will match. do you now if I can sell my original switch and get the switch 2 later without issues or am I going to need to do some sort of transfer of data? I assume only if I care about my save data and that the expansion pack for botw, for instance, would be tied to my account and not the console?

A quick googly:

Quote :
The Nintendo Switch 2 has shipped 19.86 million units globally in its first fiscal year (April 2025–March 2026), exceeding Nintendo's forecast of 19 million. This makes it the fastest-selling Nintendo console in history, reaching the 10 million milestone 45% faster than the original Switch.

I ordered 1 last deal too but did not have that experience. I will say that I got mine not taped. Which I found odd. Other than that the device and everything seemed in fine.

Well I stand corrected. I don't know a single person that bought one amongst a lot of folks I know that bought the Switch 1s on launch and all I've seen online about it has been negative (rightfully so). So must just be my circles I guess.
