Looking at the price I assumed this was certified refurbished but it is not. Great price for a new system

This seems to be a great deal considering the current prices. Tried to price the parts in PCpartpicker (just choosing the cheapest versions of the items were they were not specified), the total still came around to $1800.

Help fill my slot step-gpu Wink

Good question though. I've had a prebuilt MSI codex before and it was pretty packed in there already.

Opened up to remove the packing material - 4 memory slots - two populated. Looks like you could fit another card under the card installed if you are crazy enough to try Smilie.

I plan to use this to play games connected to my Sony x90L tv. Anything I should worry about? the TV supports 120hz.

Is this a good machine for editing videos? Not crazy 4k content but more of social media content creation with occasional short movies up to 20mins. Editing will be in Davinci resolve. MacBooks with similar config are over 2200 and I can't justify that kind of spend as my work is free.

Yes it would be more than capable of editing full UHD in Davinci. Nvidia GPUs have excellent support for gpu accelerated video editing, the i5 in there is plenty fast with plenty of cores/threads, and 32GB is a solid amount of RAM (especially now, especially for that price).

Overall this is a great value system, one of the better ones I've seen recently. I was able to build one for about this price with specs that are slightly better for gaming but definitely worse for content creation, and the only reason I could get it down to $1400 was getting lucky with combo deals and some stackable promos.

Micro Center has a 5070 prebuilt with the same CPU, but it has half the ram only running in single channel which is a $150-$200 difference these days.

Decent deal but you're stuck on a 14th gen processor with no ability to upgrade to newer generations.
