how does this compare with the GL.iNet routers? I gave my beryl ax to sister as she needed a router when she moved.

GL.iNet runs openwrt, TP Link is run on TP Link firmware. Functionally probably very similar though. I only bought TP link because of the mesh system and it was cheap on eBay, but otherwise I stick to GL.iNet when I can.

Edit: Also i dont think the roam supports tailscale, at least not ootb, so if that is something you use, then there is that.
