I mean I don't doubt it but the thing that matters is the seller, not the fact that they're on ebay? You're not calling this out on BestBuy's listings of Samsung phones on ebay.
That's why grammar and reading comprehension actually mean something when your only form of communication is text. I read their statement as them calling out all refurbished phones on eBay because they use replacement screens from a bad 3rd party, not that those parties are the only ones selling fakes. Refurbished and recertified are NOT the same thing. BB also sells products that are refurbished by third parties, as do a lot of other retailers who can source their products from a supplier or contractor. Only "recertified" and proprietary phrases like "Geek Squad Certified Refurbished" should carry connotations of quality repair work. Remain skeptical about all devices that are simply "refurbished" independent of seller. But someone else said they "almost" get a full day of battery out of theirs, and that makes it a pass for me based on the phone model itself. My Pixel Fold battery lasts ~3 days with moderate use. I just need a second phone to use for corporate authorization so I can put a custom OS on my Google phone.
The battery endurance rating for this phone is higher than the pixel fold, at least according to GSMArena.
last OS update last year and no more security update in a few months, why would you spend money on a paper weigh
literally the reason why I sold my s23 earlier this year, get s24 and later for longer updates

The s22 series had the worst battery life ever new. My won't last through the day new. I'm a light phone user. My friend had same problem. It got fixed with s23. My s24 has awesome battery life.
FYI 5G frequencies have changed quite a bit since this phone first came out. My wife has one of these and I have an S25 (both T-Mo). When travelling around, there have been so many times I have been able to get a signal but she hasn't. You really need to go to S25 to get the latest radio tech. S26 didn't introduce any differences in that area.
Is this the model that overheats and has horrible battery life?
Yes, the s22 series was notorious for overheating and as a consequence, short battery life. There are plenty of complaints online. Here's a possible fix:
I wouldn't take the risk with the S22 variant. There is a lawsuit right now due to a boot looping and eventual death of the phone with the chips unsoldering themselves. I had one with the issue. If you search online, you can see how common it is with the S22 models. It seems like it is a matter of time with the device on when it'll happen to the phone.
I wonder if the solder is being affected by the heat. The s22 series is notorious for overheating. See this
Before you consider an S22, read all the complaints about overheating. This article stopped my from pulling the trigger. I'm not smart enough to attempt a fix.
Use ADB on your Android devices, 95% of people complaining about their hardware and their device is just bloatware and telemetry and all kinds of stuff going on. Samsung stuff comes with like 100 apps and background processes that you don't need, ever.
If this is a legit S22+ deal (assuming it is), I'm still using my S22+ almost 4 years now & still works GREAT. Battery is no longer the best, but that's likely due to years of use.
I'm still using my S20 FE 5G UW with 512GB Samsung Micro-SD to store all my important stuff, not trusting a cloud backup that reads all my personal files. I have a Samsung USB-c flash drive to backup all of it too, just in-case...
Battery still going strong, I only charge to 85% anyway.
