This sale is strongest for Brooks Ghost and Altra running shoes, especially if you want a roomy forefoot or a zero drop feel. Ghost Max in normal width fits a 4E foot for some, and the Ghost series in 4E is described as fitting well across multiple versions. The shoes also helped during recovery from a fractured ankle. The main limits are sparse sizing, with little beyond men's 13 and almost nothing above 11.5, and wide sizes are largely absent. Altra's anatomical toe box and zero drop feel may take adjustment, and a wide midfoot can still be a problem.
Wide-foot runners who wear 4E in the Ghost line, because the Ghost Max fits in 4E and the wider Ghost models fit well.
Runners with a wide forefoot, because the fit works well when the midfoot is not also wide.
People recovering from an ankle fracture, because the shoes provided strong support during recovery.
Runners who want a zero-drop shoe with an anatomical toe box, because the Torin 8 feels liberating after the break-in period.
Shoppers needing wide or extra-wide Brooks sizing, because no wide or extra-wide options are listed here.
Men needing larger sizes, because the selection stops at size 13 and has almost nothing above 11.5.
Runners with a wide midfoot, because the fit is not good when the midfoot is also wide.
Runners sensitive to low heel-to-toe drop, because the Max 2 can put extra pressure on the toes.
