This sale is strongest for Brooks Ghost and Altra running shoes, especially if you want a roomy forefoot or a zero drop feel. Ghost Max in normal width fits a 4E foot for some, and the Ghost series in 4E is described as fitting well across multiple versions. The shoes also helped during recovery from a fractured ankle. The main limits are sparse sizing, with little beyond men's 13 and almost nothing above 11.5, and wide sizes are largely absent. Altra's anatomical toe box and zero drop feel may take adjustment, and a wide midfoot can still be a problem.
Ghost Max models can fit a 4E wide foot in normal width sizing.
Altra Torin 8 can work well for a wide forefoot during recovery from an injury.
Ghost Max 2 may feel uncomfortable due to low heel-to-toe drop pressure on toes.
Altra Torin 8 offers an anatomical toe box and a zero-drop feel that can feel liberating.
Ghost Max fit guidance can conflict, with some 4E wearers saying Ghost Max 4E fits and others saying it does not.
The selection does not include wide or extra-wide Brooks sizes.
Sizing availability appears limited, with nothing larger than men's size 13 and almost nothing larger than 11.5.
Altra Torin 8 may not fit well when the midfoot is also wide.
