If you live anywhere with a hot summer, consider using a vent mount so your phone's battery does not overheat from the sun/heat.

Never thought about it but it makes a lot of sense. Thanks.

Unfortunately the vents on my Rogue are not wide enough to actually hold the vent mount.🤔

What if you live in a cold climate and use the heat in car?

Layer up and/or blow the heat to your feet.

I would not use the vent mount then if you were in your car for a long time. For short distances it might not matter.

I actually like magnetic better than the mechanical side thing. Easier to pull out and putting the phone on the holder.

The vents in my car (Honda Civic 2011) are quite flimsy. I had to rebuild them several times when I had a clamp mount.

I would think that the force needed to pull the phone off the magnet would be more than the vents could take. You would need to use 2 hands so you can support the back.

How well would the 3m stickies work on slightly textured plastic?

They can work well but make sure to clean the surface well before sticking it.

Got a similar one last time for the air vent mount with adjustable phone cradle and it's worked out great. Just ordered another one for our other car. Keeps it hands free and easy access and in sight. Thanks, OP!
