I installed these in my 75 strat two years ago. They sound good, but keep in mind they are not noiseless pickups, so the classic single-coil buzz is there (less so on toggle positions 2 and 4, but still there). Before anyone comments that it was probably my wiring job, I bought Fender's preloaded pickguard when it was on clearance for $150...I only had to connect a couple of wires and screw it in, a five-minute install.

Ok, but you can buy Stratosphere parts loaded 'hot' pickguard with Japanese alnico 5's for about $40...they sound the same to me and I've owned at least a couple dozen strats.....boutique pickups for most are a scam, its wire and magnets folks....that said I do have one magic (ie expensive) set from Stonewall pickups

Yes, these are not noiseless. Nothing wrong with your install. The noiseless single coil pickups don't sound the same anyway, so people should be aware.
