Lavazza Espresso Barista Gran Crema is a mass produced whole bean espresso blend that pulls well for daily espresso and pour over. The 2.2 pound bag goes a long way, with only about 25 grams needed per day and freshness dates reported as very recent. The blend is praised for tasting close to pricier beans and for working especially well as espresso, though the Arabica and Robusta mix is not for every palate. A few Costco price checks also put it lower in store, making it a practical long lasting option if the flavor profile fits.
Espresso drinkers who want a mass-produced blend for daily shots, because it pulls a good espresso and tastes close to pricier beans.
Pour-over drinkers using about 25 grams a day, because the 2.2-pound bag can last around 40 days.
Coffee drinkers who like a straightforward black cup, because it is tolerable to drink black and tastes like coffee.
Buyers who care about freshness in a large bag, because the beans can arrive with recent manufacture and best-by dates.
Drinkers who want a smooth, 100% arabica profile, because this is an arabica-robusta blend with a more distinct Italian-roast taste.
People expecting a rich espresso-machine experience from K-cups, because they can taste like regular coffee with no foam.
Coffee drinkers who are sensitive to flavor quality, because the beans can taste worse than stale grocery-store coffee.
