This is a budget Galaxy A37 5G deal that stands out for its midrange specs, long software support, and strong value as a backup or travel phone. The 6.7 inch AMOLED display, 5,000 mAh battery, IP68 rating, and six years of updates make it appealing, and it also gets praise for emulation and decent camera performance. The main drawbacks are the 6GB RAM, no microSD slot, and reports of noticeable One UI lag. Metro's 365 day unlock lock and frequent port in and checkout problems are the biggest caveats.

Dang, something weird is happening with the A37 and Tmobile sim......as noted the first day it did not work....then last evening it worked all the way until this morning when I restarted the phone and now again its not working.......no idea whats happening. I did turn off the Metro eSim so not sure if I need to have that on or what.

how is the 3 cameras compare to s series?
When good lighting, you won't notice much difference. In Low lighting condition S series will take better picture.

I've been having trouble with porting in from xfinity mobile for this deal.

Metro site errors and says "Your number transfer was unsuccessful. Please go back and check for any errors in the information entered."

The metro site also think this is a verizon number, not sure if that matters. Calling in, the metro rep said the name on my account is incorrect, even though it is correct. So I'm not sure how to resolve this issue to do this deal.

It had same error last time when my number transfer PIN just expired. Requested a new PIN, then passed.
I don't think name on account matters since Metro only match account number, transfer pin,zip code.

Toggle metro esim on and off. Try a hard reset next if still no go. Hard reset will not erase esim unless u check the the box to erase esim .

Ugh, not sure if this is a phone or sim slot issue that I'm noticing...... I tried playing more after I lost connection is that the phone kept looking for service vs just saying emergency calls only. I even tried with another tmo sim but it keept looking for service....restarts. esim on off etc didn't do much.

I finally pressed the sim tray holder plastic a little in where the card sits and after that back to 5g on tmo 😞.

I need for this to just work as it's for my kid...... not sure if converting the sim on tmo to esim might work better....

You properly have the old T-Mobile sim. Go to store get a new 5G sim.
Better not to do esim coz the phone is locked to metro. Physical sim is easier to swap phone.

As long it's activated 99% chance it will be unlocked after 1 year.
I believe you're 100% correct when you said 99% of the time. Out of 100 Metro phones, 1 of them didn't get unlocked for me.

I don't know what the reason is, but I was playing around with that phone trying to see if I can use it with a TMO SIM. It was a S24FE.

I activated A37 and A11 in Metro first. When I insert t-mobile sim to A37, shows the signal for a few minutes, then disabled. But when I insert t-mobile sim to A11, data works, can send out message, but cannot receive. Is it weired?
For the tablet, try turning off 5G and stay on 4G LTE. This happened to me regarding receiving text. It worked on 4G and not 5G.

Help me out, scrolling through this thread but not seeing a clear answer - what's the consensus on the best carrier to get a # to port in? I haven't really done this since a couple years ago, and was using $5 visible lines back then. Seeing Boost offers $10 lines. Does Google Voice still work? Anything better/easier?
TIA!

I tried to request a new port pin, but it just keeps sending me the same one. I assume that means mine is not expired.

My texts on A11+ works on both T-Mobile and Metro sim. Both are on 5G.

I got some errors too when it's time for unlock. A hard reset fixed the issue. I had 2 Moto stylus 2025 from last year. 1 unlocked no issue. The other requires a factory reset.
