The DCF850P1 kit, has been $99 previously on sale.
Newer, faster, better.
The 860 smashes any other 1/4" impact driver on the market.

The 860 has been on sale for $96-$98 not counting the $49 Lowes price mistake.
The 850 has been on sale for $78-$89 not counting any hack deals.
So for an average price difference of $10 doesn't make a valid point on price for twice the speed/power for a far superior tool in my book.
You mentioned weight difference? A 6oz difference?? Really???
You know hand tools are much lighter than power tools?
Maybe that's an option for you since you're making a stink on 6 ounces!
Lights are day and night difference, and the 860 wins again!
Maybe you need a little less TikTok and more factual technical test reviews.
I think maybe you're thinking of the 870? The 870 and 850 have side by side comparisons, with an over priced tag on the 870!
I've always said, once the hydraulic fluid eventually leaks out of the 870, you'll end up with a slippery overpriced 850.
