This EGO Nexus Escape is a compact inverter for people already in the EGO battery ecosystem, with pure sine output and a USB C PD port that can even recharge the battery. It has proven handy for outages and off grid use, running routers, modems, laptops, phones, lamps, TVs, Rokus, pumps, and even an electric cooler for short trips. The main limitation is that the battery is not included, runtime depends entirely on the battery size, and compatibility is limited to EGO packs. At $119, it stands out as a portable backup power option if you already have EGO batteries on hand.

Hellooooo Greenworks, get on the ball!!!!!!
They have the 300w one for 80v batteries. Just saw it was on sale for 80 at Walmart. I'm about to pick it up. Biggest issue is lack of compatibility with more battery sizes.

How can it be a power station if there's no battery included? It creates power out of nothing?
Because this is not a power station. It is power inverter, your need your own batteries. And unless you can charge those batteries with this unit, like you can with some Ryobi 18v and 40v power inverter, you will need a separate battery charger to charge the batteries that you would use with this inverter.

Will the battery cause problem if bring it to an airplane?
This is a power station that requires the Ego battery (not included) to power it. You can't bring an actual Ego battery on a plan because it exceeds the size limit allowed.

Have a lot of ego batteries - whats the use case people are buying these for? Trying to think how I could utilize my extra batteries
The practical use for me is to keep my electric cooler cold during daytrips.

Used this during a recent power outage and it worked great for my use case. It's not going to fire up your coffee maker at 400W, but I charged 2 laptops and phones, while running a couple of lamps for several hours with plenty of battery left over, and importantly it's safe for electronics since it provides pure sine power. If you have multiple EGO batteries it's a no-brainer IMHO.

Thanks! I was waiting for a deal on those for a year or two. Bought one for myself, and one for a friend. Should be good to complement bigger power stations around the house by being a more portable source of power.

I'm in for 3. Ordered one this morning, which already got delivered, but just ordered 2 more. One to run my router and modem, and 2 for bedroom TVs and Rokus. And I recently bought the 180w version that Amazon had on sale for about $70, and my return window just closed yesterday. Goodtimes.
