Community Reviews
This EGO Nexus Escape is a compact inverter for people already in the EGO battery ecosystem, with pure sine output and a USB C PD port that can even recharge the battery. It has proven handy for outages and off grid use, running routers, modems, laptops, phones, lamps, TVs, Rokus, pumps, and even an electric cooler for short trips. The main limitation is that the battery is not included, runtime depends entirely on the battery size, and compatibility is limited to EGO packs. At $119, it stands out as a portable backup power option if you already have EGO batteries on hand.

I asked AI how much runtime this unit would give me off the battery at 300 watts, and it said about 25 minutes.
I also own a Southwire Elite 300 powerstation that was about $100 on slickdeals and I asked the same question for 300 watt use, and it said 50 minutes. I already own the Southwire, so I guess I'll just keep that since they are similar power output rating, and similar price, but I like the concept and portability and multifunction use of this device in a pinch.

Or buy a solar panel that allows to charge via the USB. I have 2 like this a 60 and a 120 watt panel.
But your better off using the panels to charge a power bank and then use the power bank to charge the ego batteries.
It will depend on how many ways the ego inverter will max out at for charging. My ryobi inverter makes it at 60 watts where my power bank can charge up to 400 watts.
At 60 watts and given solar various with the light, it is going to take a real long time to charge the ego batteries. Faster with the power bank and then charge multiple ego batteries over night.
Has anyone used a USB-C connected charger to connect to the USB-C PD port to recharge the battery? I may try that out, even though I don't have a 100-W charger and cable.
