Thanks, it was an absolutely gorgeous day for a ride all the way down there that Saturday - and we needed it - with all the crap happening in life these days - glad we did it. There was a whole lot going on at Penn's Landing - they must be getting ready for Memorial Day, as there were tents set up everywhere - people all over - so it's par- tayyyyyyyy time down there now - from now until Labor Day - normally they have something happening almost every weekend - so it's a great place to go either by boat - or by land.

Dave & Buster's is right next to the Marina we are staying at - and on the one side of D&B - if you dock there - and eat there - you get to dock for "free" - so many times we'll go down and dock there - eat at D&B - then walk over to Penn's Landing - which is a hop, skip and a jump - literally. Much better than fighting traffic and finding parking Woot Woot

Oooh, CC!! I was going to comment on your lovely pictures. The ones of Cypress Lake, not of your, um, afflicted area. Whatever it may be!!! laugh out loud The lake looks great. The other one...um. Not so much! But I am glad you are on the mend; in all seriousness, it does look like you are healing hug

Picca, those photos you shared are awesome too!! You lucky gals. I need to get a decent camera. And then...learn how to actually use it laugh out loud

You can purchase a pretty decent camera with enough mega-pixels, and learn to use it easily - and upload to the internet here. The difference between my last camera and this one - both Canon's - is the last one I could put my Camera Card in a card reader and directly upload from there - with the newer Canon - I have to go through their software on my computer - which was a little frustrating at first - as with ALL my digital camera's through the years - I always uploaded thru the card reader - so it was another learning curve - but once I got the hang of it no problem.

I don't believe one needs to spend A LOT of cha-ching $$$ - you can find them on sale - normally last year's model - and not much has changed - and still get a good bang for your buck.

That's the beauty of the Rebel, you can leave it on auto and it will do that for you. But then if you ever want to start to learn the ins and outs, it's there.

I can see how someone might want to just go with a simple P&S for other reasons, though. Small, light weight, easy to use.

See all those docks down there, it's an easy pick up from any of them Whee Whee

We have a friend who lives part way down as we head down that way - and we used to pick him up
from his place on the way down - his place has a "private Marina" - for people who live there - so
we were able to pick him up from there woot

Speaking of Chins, I was talking to someone today about pets, and I was telling them about my Chinchillas. The lady was all excited, asking questions about them, and then she asked me if I ever dress them up and but them in a bag and carry them around. It dawned on me that she thought I had Chihuahuas!! Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) Sadly, this is not the first time people have made this mistake! laugh out loud
