This has a chance to blow out your wax seal. The cheap ones like this also have a chance to dislodge the main head up further into the toilet then it becomes irretrievable. A new toilet would have to be replaced. I did a lot of research on these things and looked through Amazon reviews in the past.

Have used similar a few times (don't ask!) with success. Have heard that these hurricane blasts have been known to cause leaks somewhere down the line -- likely due to already compromised pipes/seals -- tho have never had a problem myself.

I know this is mostly a joke, but I think it's the "newer" toilets that try to save as much water as possible, and doesn't "flush" with as much water to wash debris down the pipe.

Plungers absolutely suck for toilets and can even splash turd soup everywhere. This type of design just makes way more sense.
