Ooh how does the Lisen compare in terms of quality and ease of use? I got the $12 but it feels cheap and flimsy. Lisen noticeably better?
The Lisen is thicker, longer/ bigger, and heavier. "Better" is kinda subjective since it's not the exact same tripod.

Last weekend, I went to a food festival at a park and brought the smaller $12 tripod. It fit nicely in my small man purse - murse. So the best tripod/camera is the one you have. I use to travel with a full gear of DSLR, lenses, tripods, etc. Nowadays, I like to travel light and take most of my vacation pics with a phone.

See attached pic. Which one would you rather carry around? Depends on the situation of course. Last weekend, I knew the food festival would be crowded so I opted for the smallest one I have.

Awesome thanks so much for the reply! I'm the same as you, for travel i used to be full frame DSLR then mirrorless and now i just use my phone for 95% of things!

Great point and appreciate the size comparison! OK the $12 is cheap feeling but it is a lot more compact and magsafe helps with ease of use too. I may keep it instead. Thank you!!!

Anniversary trip soon and hope this works out so we don't bother folks to take pics. Should help to keep the phone clean as well. Thanks, OP!

Forget gimmicks like auto open. Just give me something better than the super brittle plastic phone mount that breaks after 10 open/closes.

I bought a similar tripod/selfie stick to Yellowstone two weeks ago. It worked very well as tripod for my google pixel 10pro because of the weight. USB C charging is a must so that I don't weight about running out of battery.

For those who bought this tripod like me, the phone mount comes with a hot shoe slot/holder.

I just bought this $5 light to use with it - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...XKHA&psc=1

The auto deploy sounds like a great feature! I have one where you have to manually pull the base apart

Looks like this has a built in phone mount with only 1-axis adjustment option, so you can't level your phone properly. This is not a standard 1/4" thread tripod. The 1/4" thread is only available via an included adapter, on top of the phone mount, and you cannot remove the phone mount. Looks like it's designed for people who don't own cameras, and only use their phone as a camera.

Can it be used as an extra-long selfie stick while moving around?

Received it. Thread works for my laser cube and also it fits in the phone clamp. However when fully extended it is a little too wobbly for the laser self leveling that any movement of air or nearby floor will affect level. But considering how cheap and portable it is, its good enough for me.
