I bought one for my wife from Ali and it took almost two months but the product itself is pretty great. Build and features are solid. Just note that the laptop flap has a internal set of zippers that are how you access the main storage. It is the only way you can access it due to the design.

i bought this from my local Auction (Nellis Auction in NV) for $15, upon unboxing it i can already feel like i got ripped off even paying $15 for it. the wide luggage handle does not save you any space. the whole luggage is super narrow you cant fit any average american size clothing in it for a weekend trip. the plastic is so thin and flex so much they might as well slap a trojan brand on it.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't scammed. I thought this was similar to the ones I saw in Asia but it is not. It's great to see they are finally making a hardcase that isn't split like a clamshell.

Is the seam running through the middle of the case for expansion? Is this expandable?

If you are buying from the seller listed by the OP or from Hanke, it's legit.
The shops with a bunch of numbers in the name are the dubious ones.

No this model is not expandable.
It's basically where the manufacturer fused two halves of the suitcase together and is part of the aluminum frame.
Mixi however does sell a hard-side suitcase that is expandable but that is made fairly obvious in the ad.

So you have to unzip the outer panel and then unzip in inner flap to get to your stack of contents? That doesn't seem convenient. I'm surprised to hear the hate for clamshell designs. Being able to separate items is a feature to me. So is the ability to expand. I'm in the market for a new carryon, so I do want to learn why this is supposedly so popular.
