This dropped to $49.97 at the end of April and to $39.97 shortly after. Your chance of finding this is so slim.

Nobody is likely to reproduce this, so I wouldn't make a special trip to Costco for this. Even when their inventory said they had stock when it hit $50, they were nowhere to be found.

Community Reviews

This is a very cheap Costco two pack of Philips Sonicare DiamondClean Smart handles, but the deal is extremely hard to find and the app inventory has been unreliable. The package appears to vary by item number, with older boxes including A3 heads and newer ones including A3 All in One Premium heads. There are also reports of opened boxes containing mismatched or used items, including missing pieces and odd extras like a UV cleaner or unrelated charger. Performance opinions are sharply different, with some preferring Sonicare and others saying Oral B cleans better. A bargain only if the box is complete and the store actually has it.

Shoppers who can verify store stock before driving over, because app inventory can show units available when the floor is empty.

Deal hunters willing to pounce immediately, because the price dropped sharply and the stock appears extremely hard to find again.
Totspurs silcam
Buyers who want a two-handle premium brush set with charging glasses and travel cases, because the older package includes those accessories and extra brush heads.
DealsAdd1ct

Shoppers expecting a clean, complete box, because opened units can contain a clearly used toothbrush set or a frayed brush head.
BargainBuster BargainBuster
People who want a toothbrush that cleans as well as Oral-B, because this model can feel like a step below and may leave cleaning performance disappointing.
whitecrane8 whitecrane8
Buyers who need a reliable in-store hunt, because inventory listings can be wrong and the product may not be on the floor even when shown in stock.
Akshay00 silcam

The deal can include different brush head bundles depending on the item number, which can make the $39.99 set especially strong if it includes the older A3 brush heads.
DealsAdd1ct
The toothbrush system can be a better choice than Oral-B for users who want to avoid mold buildup.
Jefe123
Some shoppers have found the set in a white box with a white/pink color while matching the same item number as the deal listing.
raichur0xx0rz

The $39.99 price appears unlikely to return, and inventory availability has not matched listings even when the price was around $50.
silcam Totspurs
Costco inventory listings and the Costco app can be inaccurate, so calling ahead can prevent arriving to find no units on the floor.
Akshay00
Opened sets can reportedly arrive as clearly used or as a different toothbrush set than expected.
BargainBuster
Some experiences indicate DiamondClean may not clean as well as Oral-B, with a dentist reportedly agreeing in at least one case.

Common Questions (5)

The Sonicare is reported as either much better or a step below Oral-B depending on the user, so it may not match everyone's cleaning preference. One practical concern raised is that Oral-B can get moldy, while another report says Sonicare did not clean as well and a dentist agreed.
whitecrane8 Jefe123 whitecrane8
Yes. The app can show the toothbrush as in stock even when the warehouse has none on the floor, so calling ahead can save a wasted trip.
Akshay00 silcam
No, it appears to be extremely hard to find and unlikely to be reproduced at many warehouses. The price dropped from about $49.97 to $39.97 quickly, and even stores showing stock may not actually have units available.
Totspurs silcam
Some boxes have reportedly contained mismatched or used items instead of a complete new 2-pack. Reported issues include a clearly used toothbrush set, only one toothbrush with a fraying used brush head, and even unrelated items like a Graco charger in the box.
BargainBuster BargainBuster
The older Costco package is item 4239377 and includes 2 DiamondClean Smart handles, 2 brush heads, 2 charging glasses, and 2 USB charging travel cases. The newer item 5239377 swaps in A3 All-in-One Premium brush heads, so the included heads are the main difference.

Hahahahhahaha. That would be nasty. Very nasty. Not once in many many years of Oral B use have I had this problem. For me, the Sonicare never did a good job cleaning my teeth - and my dentist agreed. YMMV

Didn't this used to have a YMMV in the title?
Regardless, don't prices ending in .97 mean it's a clearance item?
