I can't tell if you get these aren't new prebuilts. They're from '21, NOS (new old stock) at best. That's assuming they're not some open box back of the warehouse, grab the packing tape and call them new, Amazon special.

I have no idea either. The only thing good is the 24GB VRAM but most people building AI will not buy something like this to get the VRAM. Idk what this machine is for but the price is cray especially if the items are not brand new. Assuming there are no new 3090's but the seller is Amazon.com so what the heck is going on! haha

Because of AI, people are absolutely still trying to get their hands on a 3090 any way they can.

The same goes for DDR4. A 32GB kit is easily $280 right now.

Do you think people are resorting to buying DDR3 for fun?

I did find it weird that an account from 2010 would glaze Elon so hard. Maybe it's Elon himself.

But yeah, don't rule out clankers. The dead internet theory is very much not a theory.

I've noticed this guy switched from talking about scalping openly to fear mongering about price increases.

There's tons of AI bots on Reddit LLM subs running the same scam.
