Don't believe for a moment this is a deal. In no world would anyone pay $1300 for this laptop with the slowest, bottom of the barrel Snapdragon X2 chip in it, plus only 512GB SSD and a 1200p display. These are LOW END specs and $800 should be LIST PRICE, and a deal would be lower. Just pass on this sad little guy and look for sales on laptops with X2 Elite chips.

I think the spec is ok, but we had a similar one on sale at $650? I would go for an Open box if you need a laptop now. Or go for previous gen with X1 elite chip.

Does Lenovo make a version of this laptop with the X2 Elite?

They do, but their pricing is still pretty high. Lenovo tends to lower prices (or have sales) after a product isn't so new.

There is the Asus Zenbook A14, very similar to this, with X2 Elite 88-100 CPU for $999 at BestBuy.

Plus the ASUS has a better selection of ports. This 7x seems to only have USB-C.

That's funny to see how Apple completely disrupted the laptop market with their M-series chips. You just can't beat Apple silicone with this garbage in terms of pricing and overall quality.

I have an Apple Macbook Air M4 and it has its flaws as well. It is a well built, laptop but since the price increases it is no longer a cheap offering and I feel it is a bit overhyped.

Thanks. Unfortunately the Asus screen isn't nearly as good.

How is that? They're both 1920x1200 60Hz OLED screens.

One mans trash is another mans treasure (and vice versa). Also, the M-series chips are made from silicon, not silicone.

But it is sealed with Apple's famous silicone. The tub and shower industry raves about it.

That's true. Do you have hands-on experience with both this model and the A14 that you know this for fact? I've watched many, many reviews on the A14 (I own an A16 and have owned many, many Asus laptops with OLED) and don't remember anyone saying the picture quality was subpar.

Also, it's pretty crappy that I ask someone else a question, and you feel the need to demean my question with a "smh". It's not a stupid question I asked and you could just add your perspective without trying to make me look stupid. Kindness seems rare around here.

Lenovo must have downgraded the screen. I have the Slim 7x from last year and it has a resolution of 2944 x 1840 and it hits 1,000 nits. The best screen I've ever had on any laptop.
