FWIW this spent most of 2025 in the $200s before jumping in March 2026 to $550-600 and hovering there for the last 5 months, according to CCC.

Thanks! I have just price matched with Best Buy for in store pick up today via chat. I had to buy it at the price of $699 bc the computer couldn't override the price. They immediately refunded me an amount of $385 after placing the order

I agree. I just purchased, with delayed shipping. I've had my eye on this for a while... at 4TB this is ridiculously wrong pricing. I am worried about counterfeit. There's a tool to test that, right?
