Within minutes, the entire unit was radiating heat like it was trying to melt through the tabletop. When I reached over to pick it up, the shock hit instantly — it was so hot I reflexively dropped it. Not "warm," not "toasty," but burn‑your-hand hot.
Even after removing it, the battery and my phone needed several minutes to cool down before they were safe to touch. I thought maybe it was a fluke, so I tried again later with no case, battery side up, nothing covering it. Same result. Within five minutes it was blazing again, like it was trying to cook itself from the inside out.
And if you think this is just me — check the Amazon reviews. This isn't an isolated incident. There are tons of reports describing the exact same overheating nightmare. This thing can damage your phone battery and absolutely burn your hand if you're not careful.
