Happened to me on my 12 year old's line. My daughter is a straight A student, not on social media, primarily uses her phone for reading library books. Your assumptions are incorrect.
Avoid Infimobile!! Close relative had his plan stopped working after several months on a 1 year prepaid with them claiming the line was used for business, not according to their terms of service...when it was not and provided no recourse, they also don't provide any evidence nor reasons on even why their system thinks it was. I would not be surprised if a class action be brought at some point. Any savings is cost is just not worth the hassle nor such risks. Do Google/reddit search on this.

There's always tons of opinions regarding InfiMobile with the vast majority of them being "I know someone who had issues". Well, I have been using them on two lines for nearly a year with absolutely zero issues. Planning on moving five more in the next couple of weeks. Their customer service has always gotten back with any questions that I had in a timely manner and with professional replies.
My assumption is people who have their accounts removed, if they actually are being removed, are abusing the system and refuse to admit their fault.

I don't know why infimoble is allowed on slick deals at all. Horrible company that will take your money and cancel your service prematurely. I was told my daughter was using her line for fraud somehow. 3 months in they canceled the account and would not tell me what the fraud was and would not return my money. Scam company shat should be banned here.

A student? That can mean she's smart enough to do all kinds of things to violate T&C behind your back.
To those who got screwed, were you able to get the phone number with another carrier?

Had this service for a year and had no issues with porting in/out and their service. Only reason I ported out was because my ISP offered me 1 year of free unlimited mobile service with my internet plan. Once my promo expires I'll likely be porting back to Infimobile.
I had a phone # for a year, no issues, then got a different #, every few weeks the service would shut off, they said I was texting too much, happened 3x, I would live chat and it would be reinstated again. Haven't had any issues in 2 years....I will continue using them, just my two cents
Where there's smoke, there's usually fire. No thanks. We're also really scraping the bottom of the barrel on price here. If we use a little logic, a company charging exceptionally low prices has to make compromises somewhere, and those compromises eventually affect the end user. I think many customers have a perfectly fine experience, but I also believe a much larger percentage run into problems simply because of the realities of operating at such a low price point. The less revenue a company brings in, the fewer resources it has to invest in infrastructure, support, maintenance, and long term service quality. Eventually, those cuts tend to show up in the customer experience. I pay $15 a month for 10GB with Tello. I was paying $25 a month for 50GB data. $15 is nothing, so I will keep the service. I'll find something around Black Friday for sure.

This is a good deal only for a secondary data SIM, but keep in mind that Infimobile's customer support is pretty terrible. I definitely wouldn't recommend porting your primary phone number over to them.
