AFTER 12 full months of ACTIVE PAID SERVICE. On paid month 13, you can request the device to unlock. Yes, it used to be different. Yes, there are conflicting pieces of information. Do you feel you'll have any luck arguing with an al-slop chatbot or a heavily-scripted CSR? How many hours do you think you'll spend to avoid paying for the 13th month, if they don't behave nicely?
"Why don't they have a good referral bonus anymore?"
A scheme for new customers. Like with all good things, too many people abused it. So, Track Phone cut the bonus to a negligible amount.
