same. more and more the 800 i paid for my one plus 15r is looking like a mistake.
with these deal i woulda been all in for 580, plus saved another 12X33~400 on the phone service for a year. savings roughly 600 in a year.
thats said visibles unlimited hotspot is a must if my isp goes out. so not sure i can switch
at least the 15r has a few advantages, bigger screen (not sure if a plus or minus personally), bigger battery (7300 mah, rip chinese phones), and 512 storage (which i dont need but is nice)

Truth. I'm not sure why Samsung feels the need to reinvent the wheel and force their crappy apps on people. And you can't uninstall any of their crapware. When was the last time anybody ever used the Samsung web browser?
BF will probably drop to 799 or something.
I got the Pixel deal for 329, Pixels are pretty good just making sure I'm ready to ditch apple for good.

i'm month to month with visible
im with frontier fiber and they came to my house idk, 2-3 yrs ago. they had frequent outages over the first 1-2 yrs, maybe teething issues. they seem a lot more reliable in the last year or so but still dont trust them. a backup home internet provider is practically a must for me, and visible provided that nicely with their unlimited hotspot. also i only pay 35 a month for 500/500 so i honestly cant complain too much if theyre out from time to time.
just as an example tmobile has a backup internet service i considered, but youre limited to 100gb/month i think. plus, then youre into a whole nother monthly bill, where visible is an affordable phone service. i mean 33/month isnt bad for just any phone service. which is what i pay.
heck i even found out using one of those cute glnet routers bypassed the visible throttle cap. i get like 180 mbps out of the setup, hardwiring my phone to the glnet. the 15 mbps cap is typically fine tho for short term emergencies.
im just lamenting this particular deal, the s26 is a nice phone. all the inexpensive phones have settled around 6.3 inches, but honestly i think i'm ready for a smaller phone, at least as a change of pace.
mint gives 20gb/month of hotspot. it might be doable to try to get by with that. i would just have to carefully monitor my data usage if i had an outage. i've done similar before. really dislike any type of limited data at this point tho. theres just no need for that in 2026 tbh
