Can current MINT customers simply take their sim out of their old phone and put it in the new S26 and then sell the extra sim that came with it that has a year of service?

Soneone said earlier at this thread that you need to activate the new SIM on the new phone. My S26 order just shipped. I am going to activate SIM on this phone, plug it onto my son's unlocked phone for him to use, plug my own Mint SIM onto it for myself, then see if it unlocks automatically after 2 months; if not, I still can lend it to my son to use for 2 months.

How is Mint Service in South Florida? I have been loyal to Verizon Prepaid mainly for the reliability and I am paying less than $30 but to suffer through 60 days to get the phone unlocked may not be worth the effort if I throw away the rest of the year due to sucky service.
