Mine is the same, so I thought it's unlocked, but I popped an AT&T SIM to it; the signal bar actually lighted up, then a notification popping up saying it's locked to Mint Mobile. I guess Mint implemented some other locking mechanism than the common one we've seen before, which made me think even T-Mobile SIM could be blocked due to this.

Mint Mobile has updated its list of eligible trade-in phones; my S25 FE is now valued at $400.
It wasn't on the list before.

I have been using both of ours on Visible since the day they arrived. I also tried a US Mobile (Warp) sim and it worked. Maybe, for some strange reason, it allows Verizon based MVNO's.

Mint says that the new phones are locked for 60days but there is no indication of lock status on the phone my new phone. Are you suggesting that my new phone is actually unlocked?

I bought my S25 FE from Total Wireless, and it turned out to be a factory-unlocked phone. The model number corresponds to a factory-unlocked version, there are no unlock-related settings to be found anywhere on the device, and the carrier logo does not appear when the phone boots up.

There is a possibility that the Mint Mobile S26 will be the same way.

Our phones show no indication of lock status and have been running on Visible since the day they arrived. Under 'available networks' in settings it shows "AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, and 313100".

I put in a couple of old sims and got no complaint. I tried an active Tello sim and though there was no complaint, I also could not get any kind of service/connection. Then tried a T-Mobile sim, and that caused a message to pop up saying "this phone is locked to Mint blah blah blah". So maybe the phone is unlocked "enough" for certain sims, but it's certainly not a slam dunk, FWIW.

I tried sims from all networks including a T-Mo. They all worked. Maybe only some are shipped completely unlocked.

Yeah similar question. If I activate the line on s26 and then move over the sim to another phone, will the s26 still get unlocked in 60 days?
