Until they have something that is one (or zero) cables and works as an extended display, I don't think I would go back to these sort of setups.
I hear the iPad can double as an extended display wirelessly for macs, but I haven't tried it. That's the kind of setup that would work since you'd carry a tablet around anyway, IMHO

Until they have something that is one (or zero) cables and works as an extended display, I don't think I would go back to these sort of setups.
I hear the iPad can double as an extended display wirelessly for macs, but I haven't tried it. That's the kind of setup that would work since you'd carry a tablet around anyway, IMHO
1. What's the use case? A lot of work benefits from large monitors and/or multiple monitors. A monitor like this is the best option for duplicating workstation-like functionality while traveling. Think: trying to get some real work done from a hotel room without just relying on a single laptop screen.
2. What's the point of comparing this to an iPad? Well, speaking from experience, if you already travel with an iPad, it would be really nice if it could just be used as a second screen. That's a nice benefit provided to Mac users that Windows users can't enjoy. Yeah, the iPad is a lot more expensive... but then you have an iPad.
As other have said, this seems like a nice deal on a name brand USB-C travel monitor.

I've been using it as an additional extended display daily, travel with it, hotel setups or whatever.. fits in my bag in a laptop case right next to my laptop, weighs almost nothing, and is plenty bright etc.
