This bundle is mainly useful as a cheap way to harvest Tracfone service, since the Galaxy A03 is very slow, stuck on Android 11, and best suited to calls, texts, or backup use. The strongest reports say each phone can carry a 1 year plan with 1500 minutes, texts, and 1.5 GB data, and that the balances can be transferred or stacked onto an existing line. The main caveat is that activation is inconsistent, with some orders arriving without the plan attached and requiring seller or Tracfone support to fix it. The phones also arrive in plain white boxes, so this feels more like service value than a polished handset deal.

Common Questions (5)

  • Several buyers report that each phone includes its own 1-year plan with 1500 minutes/texts/data, but others received only one plan total or no plan attached at all. The safest expectation is that the listing is inconsistent and may require activation help, a seller message, or a return if the plans are missing.

  • Yes. Activating the A03 on the same Tracfone account and choosing to transfer your existing number can stack the bundle's service time and units onto your current line, and many users then move it back to their original phone after waiting about a day. Some transfers work through the website, while others need the TRANSFER text flow or support.

  • It is very slow and outdated, running Android 11 with no recent updates, so it is best suited for calls, texts, or service harvesting rather than everyday app use. Apps can lag badly and many newer apps may not install, though it can still work as a basic backup or single-purpose phone.

  • Check the IMEI with Tracfone or the seller first, because some units activate without the included plan showing up. If the plan is missing, buyers have had success messaging VerizonValue/eBay with the IMEI so they can push the 1-year plan to the device; otherwise eBay "not as described" returns have been used.

  • The phone generally needs 1 year of active service before it can unlock, and if you transfer the service away too early it may not qualify. Even after a year, these A03 units are so old that they may not be worth much by the time they unlock.

Anyone who purchased this deal, can you confirm which shipping company delivers the package? Is it UPS?

They should remove the "fire deal" sign if no one actually received the two phones with bundled services.

Well that's annoying. Don't purchase everyone. I activated one and there wasn't the plan on it. Seller told me to call TracFone so that they can check my activation and then add it on their end, but when I tired that, TracFone said they couldn't see a bundle activation and to call verizon.

I'll message the seller and then probably return it.

Just file a "not as described" return with eBay and TF support has to either fix the problem or send a return label.
If they don't respond eBay will refund the purchase.

I am still waiting on my order, but I guess the consensus here is that only one of the phones include 1 year of service. In the event that the 1 year service has already been harvested and the buyer subsequently initiates a return, will TF 'claw back' the 1 yr service that has been harvested? If that is the case, it would be better not to touch the order and just return, correct?

Wait & see what response the first buyers get from TF (sometimes TF support doesn't even bother & eBay automatically refunds). I'm going to try activating when I get mine next week - there's really nothing to lose since eBay guarantees the purchase.

Interesting discussion here. On Friday I sent a question via ebay to Verizonvalue asking: "Does this listing include a 1 Year Plan (1500 Min/Text/Data) for each phone?"

They responded later that same day stating:
"Dear Valued Customer,
Thank you for your interest in TracFone Wireless. We are responding to
your recent inquiry.
To answer your question, yes, each phone comes with 1500 calls, text and
1.5 GB data.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please contact us via
chat or by calling one of our customer care representatives at
1-800-867-7183. For your convenience, our representatives are available
Monday-Sunday from 8:00 AM to 11:45 PM EST.
Thank you for being a TracFone Wireless customer. We appreciate your
business.
Sincerely,
Executive Resolution Department
TracFone Wireless"

Because of this assurance that each phone came with it's own call/text/data plan I ordered this item. Havn't received it yet. Now I'm not sure what to do when I do receive it.

I also sent the seller a message last Wednesday or so asking if each phone comes with its own 1-year plan before making the purchase, and they replied with a similar response. The shipment should arrive tomorrow, so I guess I will see what happens then.

Update: Received both phones today. Didn't even try any harvesting. Just tried to activate each phone on the Tracfone website, and neither of them seem to have a service plan. After typing in the IMEI number, the next step gives me a choice to purchase a plan or enter a Service Plan PIN, which was not in the package. The instructions in the box do mention that the service is already tied to the device and that a PIN isn't necessary.

Update 2: Contacted Tracfone and provided both IMEI numbers, and they confirmed that there were no plans attached. I was told to contact the eBay seller. Surprisingly, the eBay seller replied pretty quickly and asked for the IMEI numbers, but I'm still waiting for another reply with next steps.

Update 3: The seller confirmed that the phones do not have plans and "recommend filing a formal
complaint with eBay regarding this issue." So ridiculous. I just started the return process.

Update 4: I got another message from the seller... "At the moment, we have reviewed your devices and now the pins should be
on the IMEl's reserve. We highly recommend contacting our customer care representatives at 1-800-867-7183 to process activation of both devices." I just tried activating it on the Tracfone website again, and I got it to activate. Haven't tried the second phone yet, because I'm going to wait until tomorrow to try to transfer the first plan onto the second phone to get 2 years total.

Update 5: I was able to activate the second phone and transfer the plan expiry from the first phone, so the service on the second phone doesn't expire until August 2028. However, the minutes/text/data didn't get combined like others on Reddit and SD have mentioned. I'm not going to bother calling to try to have them fix it, since I mainly just wanted a working number for 2 years.

Update 6: I'm not sure when it happened, but I checked my Tracfone account, and the minutes/text/data now show that they did actually get combined. I think it took a few days for the system to fully process the transfer.

at this point its best to just return as "not as described". the seller needs to learn a very valuable lesson here with all these returns.

While that makes logical sense to you and me when it comes to TF they don't learn their lesson.
Several years ago they had a deal on preloaded sim cards but they shipped empty sims instead. Even after buyers reported having problems they kept selling them & TF support didn't have a clue (they tried to deny that TF even had an eBay website). Everyone eventually got refunds but it was a mess for several weeks, SD had page after page of buyers complaining.
