The 1 star review mentioning inconsistent performance compared to a full size cooktop says a 6" burner (which is fairly much standard for "normal" one burner appliances that don't claim to be extra large)

It doesn't explicitly say, but I'm going to jump to a conclusion that since this is a 1500w model and the 8" coil version is an 1800w model, this one has a 6" coil.

edit Looking at a few other models that math may not hold up. Some 1500w models have the 8" coil. But I would assume the worst if they are not outright saying it
