Visible +pro annual plan for $225 has the same unlimited priority data, but also gives you unlimited hotspot at 15 mbps, a drastic improvement. Also, Apple Watch line is also included. It also works out to be a bit cheaper per month roughly $18.75 instead of the $20/month for total.
Visible also has a 25% statement credit off with some chase cards, with a max discount of $15. If you stack that with a $20 referral code from a current customer, you can get a $35 off the annual plan so it'll only be $190 for the year, or just under $16/month net.
Hard to beat that unless verizon is really bad around you.

Total Wireless's $20 BYOD plan stands out for unlimited priority data on Verizon, unlimited hotspot at 5 Mbps, and international roaming that includes 10 GB plus calling to many countries. The deal also carries a 5 year price lock on the base rate, with taxes and fees included, and some accounts can stack rewards or home internet discounts. The main catches are that new customers usually need to port in from another carrier, the first month can bill at $30, and the promo price depends on autopay and eligibility. Customer service and porting problems are the biggest recurring concern, so it fits best if you want low monthly cost and can tolerate some setup friction.
The plan can deliver unlimited priority data and a 5 Mbps unlimited hotspot for tethering.
International roaming can include 10 GB of roaming data for travel convenience.
The $20 BYOD offer can be supported by a 5-year price lock guarantee on eligible terms.
Wi‑Fi calling can help when local coverage is spotty while using the Verizon network.
Customer service and billing can be problematic, including promo discounts being removed or bill amounts increasing unexpectedly.
Porting can fail or cause number-loss risk, including situations where support guidance did not resolve the issue.
Hotspot performance can be very slow at around 5 Mbps, which can limit streaming to one device during outages.
RCS functionality can stop working after international travel, requiring workarounds like an eSIM and waiting for number recognition.

Opted for physical Sims for the peace of mind that this 5 year price lock is applied to the physical sim, so it doesn't get removed by Total Wireless "customer service" on the back end, as recommended by AI.
Total was enticing for the price at that time, but not worth the hassle.
Don't be surprised if your service gets randomly cut off because of an autopay issue or your $15 bill suddenly becomes $55, etc. Just TAKE A LOOK AT THEIR REDDIT! The company has way too many problems.

One other data point, US Mo Warp provides 20gb/month for international roaming, compared to 10gb/month here with Total. Use a referral with US Mo to get premium $249 for the first year. That 5 year guarantee is certainly nice with Total.

My beef with Total Wireless is my RCS stop working after visiting Portugal (the byebye plan doesn't have the international roming, so I used a Airalo eSIM) last month. Getting the dreaded 4001 and 4002 errors, Gemini has helped me more their phone, online support. I'm still having issues and waiting out the 2 weeks with RCS being disabled and hopefully Google's Jibe servers can recognize my number again when I re-enable it.
Anyone have experience buying a plan with Total but not activating for a month or so? Or any expectation how long this type of deal runs?
